Dr. John-David Kato,
DC, MSc, ACSM-RCEP, CSEP-CEP, CDE
“JD” Kato is a licensed chiropractor and clinical exercise physiologist in Toronto. He holds the highest-level certifications in Canada and the U.S. for exercise for heatlh, fitness and therapy for medical conditions. Specifically these are the American College of Sports Medicine: Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology: Certified Exercise Physiologist. He is also certifed as a diabetes educator though the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certifcation Board.
His evidenced-based practice integrates cutting edge science on exercise (rehabilitation, aerobic conditioning, strengthening, flexibility), chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapies (including Graston Technique), physical modalities (eg. ultrasound, etc.), custom foot orthotics as well as practical advice on exercise biomechanics, nutrition, work ergonomics, and other lifestyle interventions. He also frequently gives health-based and exercise-related talks to groups in the local community.
JD currently works in the interdisciplinary Cardiac Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre at Trillium Health Centre. He also sees patients privately by appointment only.
